My name is Ben Merritt, the Owner of Basskwondo Custom Bass Jigs.

There are numerous Jig companies out there and they ALL claim to make the "BEST" jig money can buy. Many of them do, in fact, make a fine product. However, it is my goal to offer you the BEST Jigs that I can possibly make at extremely competitive prices.

You can pay less for a jig, but I urge you to compare the components. Many jigs have a  Mustad hook, which is a quality hook.  I use Mustad on the Caliber and Phantom, but I prefer Gamakatsu and Owner for other applications. When comparing hooks, don't just look at the brand. Make sure the hook is fine wire, regular wire or heavy wire depending on your needs. And don't forget to check the hook size and gap, which can be very important. Many jigs use 40, 50 or 60 strand skirts to keep the cost down. I prefer 80 strands. My point is, do your homework and find the jig that is right for YOU.

I take pride in customer service and creating a top quality product. I pride myself in using top quality components including premium hooks and premium silicone skirt material. My designs are my own, though I use readily available jig molds.
