My name is Ben Merritt. I am the sole founder and operator of Basskwondo. I am a Professional Firefighter/EMT for the City of Lawton, OK. However, off duty I am an avid angler who is constantly in pursuit of the elusive, yet attainable, bucketmouth lunker. 

I take my bass fishing very seriously and I only use the best tackle I can get my hands on. I do, however, attempt to avoid paying outrageous prices for my gear. That's why I began making my own jigs and eventually expanded from there. Please try out my products. The term "Basskwondo" was invented by combining Bass Fishing with Tae Kwon Do. This combination was inevitable due to the fact that anglers hook a fish and the "FIGHT" is ON!

Basskwondo is the ancient art of catching and fighting bass. A Basskwondo Master knows his skill is only as good as his equipment. Unable to find suitable tackle sold in stores, the Basskwondo Master finds himself making his own lures, using the finest components available to ensure victory over the bass time and time again.
