When I set out to create this spinnerbait, I wanted to make sure it wouldn't be "just another spinnerbait." I decided the only way to accomplish this quest was to set the bar higher than ever before and then reach it no matter the cost. The same tried and true spinnerbait components would still be there, but the quality of each individual component would be second to none. Period.
I discovered that using THE highest quality components does two things. 1) The sum of the parts creates the most awesome whole, and 2) the whole tends to outlast any other product on the market (hence the name, ENDURANCE). See for yourself by viewing the specs below. And if you are really interested in entering the mind of an OCD lure maker, read the broken down specs even further below.
Components Broken Down for Deeper Understanding:
Owner 4/0 XXX Strong Cutting Point Hook:
This is The Sharpest & Strongest Hook you will find. Impervious to rust and breaking. It is extremely difficult to roll the hook point. When other spinnerbaits' hooks fail, you might as well throw them away. This hook is designed to last.
Ultra Premium HILDEBRANDT Blades:
Hildebrandt blades have a jewelery like finish. They are solid brass and plated in either Bright Nickel or 24K Gold. They are highly polished and highly resistant to corrosion. They provide a great deal of flash, sensitivity and countless years of corrosion resistance. These are THE best blades money can buy.
SPRO-Gamakatsu Ball Bearing Swivel:
THE best swivel around. Bar None. This swivel is designed for unfailing performance even with decades of grueling use.
Hand-Tied 60 Strand Silicone Skirt with Accents and Extra Long Tails:
That's Right. It's Hand-Tied. By tying the skirt, the spinnerbait will provide amazing longevity because there are no rubberbands to rot off. How many times have you opened your tacklebox to find that the skirts are in pieces? Also, you will save time on the water by never having to reset the skirt that has slid down the hook shank. There will never be a need to purchase replacement skirts. Some people may complain about not being able to change the skirt color, but realistically, most serious anglers (the type of folks interested in the highest quality spinnerbait available) can re-tie just as fast as they can change a skirt.
I refused to cut any corners when creating this masterpiece of a spinnerbait and accents add realism. Maybe more importantly, accents look good to my eye, and when a lure looks good, I find that I fish it with more confidence. And we all know that fishing with confidence results in more catching.
Extra Long Tails create a longer leaner profile, which studies have shown is preferred by lunker bass. Long tails add extra action when the bait stalls. Also, the tails make a good disguise for trailer hooks should you decide to use them.
Powder Painted and Baked Head:
Powder Painting is currently the most durable finish available. It outlasts other, though at times prettier, finishes. Gorgeous Michelangelo finishes look great, but in the long run, an intact powder painted head will look better than a partially painted lead surface once the fancier paint jobs have chipped off.
Nothing says "I'm Alive" like a realistic eye. I use two dimensional eyes, though I think the 3D eyes look better. Here's why. A 3D eye sticks out from the head and gets knocked off over time. 2D eyes are recessed slightly into the head and therefore will still look great after miles of chunking and winding.
